Has God Forgotten You? (Rosebuds of Faith Series)

Do you ever feel like you are just 'out there', dangling from a cliff, or drowning in a strong current of water? Are you overwhelmed by the surmounting difficulties of just trying to get through the daily grind? We, as women, continually feel pressed. We MUST be everything to everybody. We HAVE to please our husbands, our kids, our parents and other relatives. We HAVE to remember to pay the bills, balance the checkbook, get the groceries, and, of course, our house has to look like it came out of Better Homes & Gardens Magazine! We simply MUST put our best face forward at all times, no matter what is going on in our personal lives. We HAVE to show we are capable, well balanced, 'got it together' success stories of our modern times. And of course we must ALWAYS look like we stepped out of the beauty salon, hair perfect, makeup just so, and wearing the latest fashions, with great style!

But...reality is reality. Most of us want to be all these things. We are, after all,
GIRLS! No matter our age, our place in society, or our level of education,
women NEED to look and feel feminine, pretty, and of worth. We all harbor a bit of the 'Barbie & Ken' complex....we want to be perfect, with the perfect man and family, and we want others to see that we have it all. So what happens when things just don't seem to be that way? What happens when disappointment and a feeling of 'loss' set up camp in our hearts and minds?

"God, why can't I look like Angelina?" "Why can't I lose this weight?" "Why do I have to struggle with money?" "Why don't those women like me?" "Why can't I do anything right???" "I am so tired...I need time to rest! I just can't do another thing today." "God, why don't You want to help me?" "Lord, why is my life a mess? Don't You know I'm here?" "Nobody loves me...nobody cares." "Why don't you hear my prayers?" "I am of use to NO ONE." "God, why have you forgotten about ME?"

'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' The second part of Joshua 1:5 tells us that God has assured us that He will ALWAYS be with us. It is hard for us to remember this sometimes, but it is true that He will defend us against our enemies, and He will never let us face anything on our own. Joshua learned to trust God, and he carried that trust with him into battle, and in 'crossing over' into a new and unknown land. He found firsthand that God was indeed always there, always with him, continually leading the way to victory and blessing.

'The eyes of the LORD are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love.'Psalm 33:18 Unfailing love is the ultimate love.It will never
stop, it will never fade away,it will never, ever leave us. It is the most pure form of love. And that kind of love comes ONLY from God Himself. So if He loves us like that, and the Bible tells us many times over that He does, then we have the sweet assurance that He will never abandon us.

'Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek You.' Psalm 9:10 Do you know His name? If you do, if you believe on Him as your Saviour, as your King, then you have His promise that He will never forget you. He will hear your prayers, He will answer them, and He will show you His love continually. His only requirement is this...that you SEEK Him, that you put Him first, that you call upon His name and that you TRUST.

When you are at your lowest point, you are still on the mountain. Yes, you can be in the valley, with suffering, loss, heartache, but you are still on the mountain, simply because of WHO your God is, and because of WHERE He places you....Right smack dab center, as the apple of His eye!

Blessings!
