Come To Me....

'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.' (Matthew 11:28)

I have made lots of mistakes in the past. I have hurt people, I have assumed things that were not true, I did not keep promises. I failed...alot. I still do.

I am grateful that knowing Jesus has brought me through my past to where I am today. Yes, I still sometimes do all those things. Not with intent, but be...cause I am human. I strive to be a woman who lives by Jesus' example, to be full of grace and mercy, kindness and love. And while I am not always who I hope I will be, my heart is different than it once was.

'Come to me...'. Jesus says that to me every day. And because I can go to Him freely and give Him my cares and burdens, I am much more apt to extend that same grace to others.

When Jesus gives us rest, He also gives us forgiveness, mercy, and unconditional love. He pours this love, and His comfort, onto us lavishly. He truly lightens our load simply because He is willing to do so.

I am sorry if you are one I have mistreated, in any way. I ask your forgiveness. And if I do it again, I ask that you remember we are all in the human condition and will make mistakes, no matter how closely aligned with Jesus we are. But I am still going to try to not do it again, and I am not going to worry about it. Why?

Because He has said, 'Come...'.

Come to Hear Jesus

'Then early in the morning the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.'  Luke 21:38

Would it not be just grand to be able to go to a temple nearby & hear Jesus teach & preach? Well, we can!

Because He came & lived & died for us on that cross, the veil between God & us has been removed. We can go to the most wonderful  'temple' of all...the Throne Room of Grace.

There is no cover charge, no donation to be made, and the seats are all general admission. Jesus is there, at the right hand of the Father, and the conversation can & will go both ways if we will permit it.

God gives many blessings & gifts to His children. This is even more than those. This is a Christian's RIGHT! So accept it & use it. He gives it freely to you!

Come, Let Us Bow Down

'Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.'
Psalm 95:6

Tomorrow is our day of worship. When we come together in the House of God, we will all bow down, kneel down, and we will praise Him and we will worship Him together.

But today should also be our day of worship. Because we are to give praise and worship to the LORD in all things we do, in all we have, in all we are, simply because of Who He IS each and every day. Why wait until Sunday?

We, as Christians, truly have something to shout about, to anyone who will listen, but we should also be shouting it in joy to Him. When we say His name, the angels listen. When we praise Him for something He has done, the demons quake. When we give Him our all, in total surrender, satan knows His demise is coming. Through praise and worship we are giving God ourselves, and we are exalting Him before others.

So whether you are sitting on the beach, walking a trail in the mountains, or choosing items in the grocery store, or whatever you may be doing today, take the time, MAKE the time, to give worship, pure worship, to your LORD. It will make your day, certainly, but more importantly, it will make HIS!
